OUR BUSINESS
Goodhope aims to be a fully integrated group with presence across the palm oil value chain, from plantation ownership and palm oil production to edible oils refining and specialty fats production. We also focus on supply chain management and in securing access to ensure timely and cost effective sourcing of key input materials.
Upstream focus:
We cultivate oil palm plantations in Indonesia and Malaysia, and have ambitious growth plans for the future. We are in the process of diversifying into other regions like Africa while evaluating the possibility of crop diversification to include rubber, coconut and sugarcane.
Downstream focus:
We currently have refining facilities in Malaysia and India, whilst simultaneously looking out for opportunities in potential markets internationally. We plan to further integrate within the downstream industry value chain through refining capacity enhancement, value addition and specialty refining.
Value Chain Adjacent Businesses focus:
To be truly integrated with the value chain, we must also look at other inputs and services that would enable synergies to be obtained for all Group business segments. Evaluations are being done to enter into businesses such as fertilizer, seeds, analytical laboratory services, marketing research and business process outsourcing to complement and enhance the existing upstream and downstream segments.
Sustainability focus:
Sustainability is a core element of our operating model, and an integral part of how we function. We ensure that no aspect of our business or operations is overlooked, and that we act as a responsible corporate citizen across all regions that we touch through our operations.
Economic viability, responsible management of renewable resources, development of our people, stewardship and protection of natural environment, and the welfare and development of communities we are involved with, all play an essential part in our corporate direction.
